Head of Management Reporting

Robertson Bell Finance are pleased to be working with a large and well known charity based in central London, they are looking to recruit a Head of Management Reporting. This is a senior position, in fact it is the 3rd most senior finance role in the organisation and will report to the Group Deputy Director of Finance.

The Head of Management Reporting is very much a business facing finance role. Responsibilities will include; managing a team of 10 for all; financial planning, budgeting, board reporting and strategic decision making. In addition, you will be the person who drives the decision support function and leads on the service culture when dealing with operational business units. Finance is very much viewed as a service and not just a processing function and your natural instincts must support this belief. The successful candidate therefore will not be stuck in a back room with their head in spread sheets. You will be leading on management information, lead on the production and analysis of the annual budget, coordinate the analysis of variances and attend trading reviews and board meetings.

You must be working for a successful organisation in a role that has allowed you to pick up the requisite amount of experience to enable you to succeed in this role. How you communicate finance to a non-financial audience is key, as is having some previous staff management exposure. You will be fully qualified and have the ability to build rapport in a warm and engaging, approachable but challenging manner. Individuals from all sectors are highly welcomed. Please note that one of the key points of this opportunity, unlike some others, is that the work-life balance is very strong and you will not be required to work more than the standard amount of hours on regular basis.
