Senior Specialist Prosecutors - Specialist Fraud Division
Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff
£62,437 - £72,460
Fraud has many faces. Get to know them all.
From fraud, bribery and corruption in the UK to international organised crime, fraud causes harm right across society. The Specialist Fraud Division works with a vast array of organisations to bring perpetrators to justice. Partnering with public and government bodies such as Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, the National Health Service, the Department of Work & Pensions and the National Crime Agency, as well as overseas jurisdictions, you'll take on complex, high-profile prosecutions, pitting your skills against some of the best defence teams from across England & Wales.
We'll look to you to provide specialist legal expertise in areas such as customs and excise, tax management, VAT, the proceeds of crime and obtaining evidence from foreign jurisdictions. Working with multidisciplinary prosecution teams, you'll have personal responsibility for managing our most serious prosecutions.
We're looking for lawyers with considerable experience of large, complex cases, including those involving large amounts of data, to deliver successful prosecutions. A highly accomplished solicitor or barrister, you'll have a well-developed knowledge of criminal law, and the professional skills and gravitas to represent the Crown Prosecution Service in the most demanding of legal cases. Whatever your background and long-term career goals, your time in the Specialist Fraud Division offers a range of experience unmatched elsewhere.
Closing date for applications: Monday 10th April 2017.
