Director of Financial Operations

Our client, a national name in the multi-site retail sector, is looking to hire a new Director of Financial Operations following on from a recent restructure.     

With a full line report into the CFO and with significant exposure to the remaining Senior Leadership Team, this position will be responsible for the financial stewardship of the organisation as well as overseeing the day to day financial operations of the company.

Role responsibilities :

• Manage a large team to ensure that the finance operations reflect the needs of the business.
• Business Partner the SMT on all financial matters.  
• Work closely with the management team in making the optimum operational / investment decisions and proving to be the ‘financial conscience' on all matters.   
• Undertake significant roles at various key stages of the Company's development.  
• Insure the company's records accurately reflect the state of the organisation prior to any transaction.

Requirements :

• Qualified accountant - probably ACA.   
• Significant multi-site experience.    
• Experience of managing and developing a sizeable team.
• Highly numerate with an ability to analyse data, understand the inter-relationship of key drivers, whilst at the same time being commercial with an ability to stand back and understand the wider implications of decisions.
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to plan and deliver their own work and that of their direct reports.
