A growing Oil and Gas business, with a strong production portfolio, are seeking the addition of an experience Finance professional to head up the day to day running of their main operational assets.
Based in Aberdeen and reporting to the CFO, you will play a lead role in the integration of a material set of recently acquired assets and infrastructure into the Group.
The Finance Manager role will involve helping build the finance integration team, with support from the senior finance leadership, and it is anticipated to require a hands on approach rolling sleeves up and interrogating the detail, driving the finance integration agenda and timely implementation of recommendations agreed with key stakeholders.
The role will have exposure to the CFO and VP Finance for the Group and will have a significant interface with the multi-disciplinary project integration team
Accountabilities:
- Full responsibility for development of finance integration plan using Primavera or other appropriate methodology and syndicate the plan for approval by stakeholders
- Help quickly build the finance integration organisation
- Ensure financial accounting systems integration (SAP to Sun6) and also work with procurement on acquiree systems interface with MAXIMO
- Review tax, audit and accounting requirements and confirm level of historic data that is needed. Consequently, Ensure data migrated effectively
- Work with commercial to develop agreement compliance register and ensure all deadlines adhered to and related compliance in particular JOA and strict adherence to government legislation and reporting
- Leverage the capability of the in house tax team to ensure compliance with all tax related matters
- Treasury - ensure early visibility on cash flow, related cash call requirements, related bank account migration
You will be an seasoned oil and gas finance professional who has held leadership asset finance position within an operator in producing assets and with recent exposure to the UK North Sea fiscal regime.
Additionally you will have JV exposure and experience of month end reporting cycle and, having worked with an operator and assets, you will also have experience of asset acquisition and integration as well as experience of developing multiple stream based integrated project plans and schedules.
You will have sound working knowledge of oil and gas related accounting issues and you will have worked in and made a significant finance contribution to multiple disciplinary project teams and specifically in asset integrations.
It is clear that this is a vital, and high level role and the package on offer is exceptional.
An accounting background, as above, is essential as is the ability to work both strategically to develop and implement plans but also a desire and ability to work at a detailed level as needed. Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation with a range of communication styles that flex as needed to deliver the best outcome for the business and an ability to work with and manage the conflicting needs of senior stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, effectively and in a timely manner will ensure success in applying to this role.
