My client, a leading pharmaceutical company based in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Compliance Officer to join their established legal department on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Within this role, you will work as a business partner for all compliance activities. You will be responsible for coordinating and communicating all compliance activities and programmes, as well as ensuring the implementation and on-going maintenance of the compliance framework and applicable policies and procedures.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
* Ensuring that written policies and procedures are in place to provide guidance and document compliance with the Anti-Corruption Policy, Code of Business Ethics, EU Data Privacy policy and the IAC Guide, as well as applicable local and international laws and industry codes
* Working with the compliance committees to assure an effective compliance training programme
* Appointing appropriate business partners to help mitigate risks identified through the compliance committee
* Working closely with the EU Legal teams
The ideal candidate will be coming from a Legal background and hold a wealth of compliance experience gained within the pharmaceutical remit. It'll be necessary to hold a strong understanding of applicable Data Privacy laws and their impact on the business as well as holding a strong understanding of the issues and challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry.
