Tesco Mobile - Finance Business Partner (9 month FTC)

About the Team:

Tesco Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator owned equally by Tesco and Telefnica UK with over 4.5 million customers.
Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering and working closely with operational and accounting finance teams, this role is responsible for agreeing & managing all sales channel costs, business change related & other internal charges and ensuring these are identified, agreed, budgeted, approved and recharged to the Shareholders in a timely & accurate manner.
Responsible for partnering Care Operations on all financial support as required.

Your Role:

Responsible for agreeing & managing all sales channel costs, business change related & other internal charges and ensuring these are identified, agreed, budgeted, approved and recharged to the Shareholders in a timely & accurate manner.
-Collate budget for online opex and capex costs, and work with the Shareholders to communicate and agree these in line with agreed planning timelines.

Responsibilities:

Establish process for identifying online & other costs within project business cases and managing pre-approval for recharge from Shareholders through relevant capex approval processes.
-Identify changes to pre-approved spend and ensure this is communicated.
-Agree proportions of regular and ad hoc opex spend to recharge to Shareholders both periodically and when changes to base & scope occur.
-Support the financial accounting team by providing details agreed cost allocations and reviewing/authorising recharge invoices.
-Act as finance lead for coordination of all Shareholder cost recharge queries and reporting.
-Supporting on other ad-hoc and regular tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

-Qualified accountant with experience of commercially focussed financial analysis.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
-Ability to establish a strong working relationship across different teams.
-Excellent Excel skills.
