Hope & Homes for Children

Treasurer Trustee

Hope and Homes for Children is changing the world.  Our mission is to be the catalyst for the global eradication of institutional care of children.  Why?  Because institutional care causes severe psychological, emotional and biological damage to children, as well as higher levels of abuse and mortality.  We are unique - from closing institutions and prevention, to providing alternative family- based care, developing the capability of local authorities and working with governments to reform childcare.  We are recognised as leading experts in what we do and we have in place national level agreements which commit governments to steer away from institutional care into the provision of sustainable quality family-based care.  We believe we can achieve our mission in our lifetime.  How?  By working through partnerships and leveraging funds through governments, NGO’s and other international bodies involved in global childcare reform.

We are looking for an individual with strong financial management experience to join our Board and fulfil the role of Treasurer.  You will have experience of a small to medium sized organisation which has been through a period of sustained growth.  Your role will consist of providing advice, information and assurance to the Trustees on financial stewardship, as well as support and assistance to the senior management team to fulfil their financial responsibilities.  You will play a vital part in the governance of our charity.  This is a volunteer role.

Trustee meetings take place in London and, once a year, in our UK office near Salisbury.  For more information on the role and how to apply, please click the apply button.
